Staff Information

Innovative Choreography founders, Lauren Wilson and Anne Kastelic, will be joined by this amazing group of instructors:

Bella Cohen

Bella began dancing at the age of 3. She grew up dancing competitively for 12 years and spent most of her time dancing at The Pulse Performing Art Center. Bella was a part of the Blue Valley West dance team for 4 years and was a captain her senior year. She has been a part of the Innovative family since her junior year and started choreographing upon graduation. Some of her favorite styles are contemporary, lyrical, and jazz but Bella has been trained in many different styles. Bella found her passion for pom while on her high school dance team. Recently, Bella graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.

Emily Colburn 

Emily started dancing when she was 3 and has been competitively dancing since she was 8. She is a graduate and former dance team captain of St. Thomas Aquinas. Emily is starting her first year at KU Pharmacy School. She is super excited to continue her journey as an Innovative Staffer and share her love of dance with others!

Addison Davis 

Addison started dancing when she was 2 years old and has been competitively dancing since she was 8. She is a graduate of and former dance team captain of Blue Valley West. Addison currently attends Rockhurst University where she is a member of the dance team. Addison is very excited to be a part of the Innovative family and can’t wait to see where it takes her!

Libby Johnson 

Libby has been dancing since she was six years old.  She started her first year with tap and hip hop and advanced to learning ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and lyrical.  She danced at Le Dance Studio for 13 years.  Libby was a member of the Blue Valley West Crimson Cats dance team for three years where she first discovered pom!  Libby graduated from the University of Kansas with her Bachelor of Social Work and is beginning her graduate program.

Elizabeth Moylan

Elizabeth began dancing in fourth grade. Her strength is ballet, but she is also trained in jazz, tap, contemporary, and modern as well. Elizabeth’s training consists of technique-based dancing, which she now likes to share with others through teaching. Growing up, she was a competitive dancer at Power House Dance. In January 2015 Elizabeth auditioned in Atlanta, GA to be accepted into the Rockette Summer Intensive in NYC. She was accepted into the program and trained under the Radio City Rockettes in July of 2015 and 2017. Elizabeth graduated with her BSN from Avila University and is working as a registered nurse. While attending Avila she was a part of the Glitter Girls Dance Team.  She was a captain her senior year.  Elizabeth completed her fourth season as a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader with the 2023 Super Bowl win!

Kati Oddo

Born and raised in Kansas City, Kati Oddo began her dancing career at age three and has had a passion for dance ever since.  She danced competitively with Dance Xcel where she earned several national titles, trained with instructors from across the country, and began her career as a teacher and choreographer.  In addition to training at Xcel, Kati was also a member of her high school dance team.  Upon graduating high school, Kati went on to dance at Kansas State University as a member of the Classy Cats dance team.  An assistant section leader her junior year and captain her senior year, Kati performed at basketball games, football games, volleyball games, parades, pep rallies, NCAA tournaments, bowl games, and numerous other university activities.  Additionally, Kati received three “All American” awards at National Dance Alliance camps and placed in the top ten at the collegiate national competition.  During her years at K-State, Kati took four years of ballet, yoga, and body conditioning for dancers through the university’s dance program.  After graduating college, Kati continued her dancing career as a Galaxy Girl for the Missouri Comets soccer team.  Kati is honored to be a part of the Innovative Choreography team and looks forward to using her experience to guide young dancers to perform to the best of their abilities.

Marissa Pai 

Marissa has been dancing since age three and competitively since age seven. Marissa is a graduate of Shawnee Mission South where she was on the Pacesetters for four years and served as captain for two. While on the Pacesetters, she choreographed stingers and competition routines for the team. Marissa danced competitively at Perception Dance Company for seven years and now is a part of the Perception staff. She is well-trained in a variety of styles such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, tap, pom, and musical theatre. Marissa attends the University of Kansas and is majoring in Special Education. Marissa was an Innovative Assistant and is so excited to be a part of the IC Staff!

Macy Talkington

Macy has been dancing since the age of 2. She was a competitive dancer for 13 years at Le Dance Studio. She was also on her high school dance team for 4 years and was captain for 2. She has been trained in all styles of dance from jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, modern, to tap. Macy started as an assistant for Innovative Choreography and now is starting her sixth year as a staff member. She graduated from the University of Kansas with an elementary education degree. She is also coaching dance team at Blue Valley West High School!

Kia Warren

Kia started dancing when she was 3 years old and has continued ever since. She danced competitively for 13 years at Le Dance Studio and continued her dance career at Blue Valley West High School as a captain for two years. Once she graduated in 2018, she traveled further into dance by joining the K-State Classy Cats and was a member for four years. She served as a section leader for two years. Through all of this dance training, Kia is well versed in all styles including but not limited to jazz, ballet, pom, hip hop, tap, and lyrical. At Kansas State, she studied elementary education with a focus on special education. Kia is a teacher at Blue River Elementary. She has teaching experience with dance from being a staff member on NDA to teaching at her studio. She loves working with dancers of all ages and abilities. Kia has also returned to her alma mater, Blue Valley West, to coach. Kia is thrilled to further her dance career with Innovative Choreography!
